Hey! It's Miguel, glad you found your way here! Let's take a break from business, work, and money for a minute. I've set this page aside for the purpose of you getting to know me because well, I also want to know who you are. Follow me while I share more of a personal preview into my life in and outside my hardhat.

While most kids were watching cartoons, I was out in the field with my papa—farming, turning wrenches, and learning the kind of lessons you don’t get from a screen. The only TV I knew was Hee-Haw and The Andy Griffith Show, usually playing in the background after a long day. That’s where my foundation was built—on hard work, simple values, and earning what you get.
I got my start through a co-op program, working in a factory building oil and gas equipment for major operators in the Northeast. During the day, I was learning how the industry runs from the ground up. At night, I launched my first business venture—polishing floors for a big-box store. I did that at night up until I was offered to do some nights and weekends shadowing on service calls. Those sporadic opportunities would be what changed the trajectory of my life.
At 18, I got my first real break—I was thrown straight into the deep end, working alongside some of the best hands in the game. Flowback and well testing became more than just a job—it was where I earned my stripes. Long nights, high pressure, and real responsibility shaped the way I work and the way I lead. It taught me to stay sharp, stay steady, and how to earn respect in a tough field.
There came a point early in my career when someone saw something in me I hadn’t fully recognized yet. One man reached out to another, vouching for what I brought to the table—and just like that, I found myself contracted out across Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas. That move changed everything. Leo Hill saw the potential. Andrew Williams gave me the shot. Together, they helped shape the direction of my career along with opening my eyes to how important networking is.
March of '21 I was working in Jane Lew, WV on a well test until we rigged down and I was headed south to my new home in Anderson, SC. I went to to church for the first time in 6 years where for the first time in my life I was actually moved. 3 days later I woke up out of a dead sleep to tooth pain like I had never felt before. Went to the ER and they brushed it off with Orajel the first time. The next day my body started to shut down and I was back in the hospital. Thankfully there was a Dr there that kept pushing test after test to find the root of my problems. Later into the evening on March 11, 2021 Dr. Nathan Mann found the reason for what was going on.
"Miguel, I don't know the right way to tell you this.. but, you have cancer"
Directly thereafter, my fight against Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia ensued.
Initially, my prognosis wasn't looking very good. At that moment I wanted give up God but wouldn't let me. Being scared went out the window too because, if you know where you're going when you die then what's there to be afraid of? Arsenic infusion 7 days a week, 3 hours a day, diet of pills, and many procedures later I'm here to tell you that there is someone out there in worse shape than you. God has the final say and He is never late.
Pictured here is me meeting Dr. Nathan Mann for the first time after against all odds winning my battle. The beauty of being sick like I was, was leaning like never before on my faith as well as slowing down for once and realizing what actually mattered in life. It turned a self righteous and conceited kid who thought the world owed him something into a humble, big hearted, and selfless man. Don't sweat the small stuff, and it all small stuff couldn't be more accurate. Cancer allowed me a break from life too in a sense. I got to enjoy a year worth of holidays for the first time in my adult life, and I dove into my creative side for once. I've always been musically inclined but never had the time or confidence to pursue anything seriously. I started playing music on a daily basis, and tried my hand at writing music. 2 of my best friends helped me along the way and opened doors for me to network some in Nashville.
Summer of 2024 Markee & I embarked on a 4,200 mile motorcycle trip. She was our designated picture and video taker. We had a couple stops that lasted a few days but all in all it took us right at 15 days. Made sure to stop a whole bunch of places!
